While recovering from injury or illness, maintaining a healthy diet and eating balanced meals is critical for the healing process, but support to do so is understandably much needed. If you are a senior in Boone County, you may be eligible to receive meals at one of our nutrition center locations or have nutritious meals delivered to your home. Our meal program offers at least 5 meals per week and the delivery also functions as a safety check-in.

Eligibility for Meal Delivery:

  • Homebound – Can not leave his/her home under normal circumstances and is therefore unable to participate in Title III congregate meals program due to illness, physical, behavioral or emotional issues, a terminal illness, incapacitating disability, isolation, or lack of transportation.

OR

  • Lives alone – and is physically and mentally unable to obtain food and prepare meals, and there is no one else available, willing and able, to obtain food and prepare meals.
